The Oil Dynamic Hinge represents the evolution and the synthesis between automatic mechanical hinges and hydraulic door closers. Designed for use on interior doors (not for Shower Doors) leading into the bathroom area, Oil Dynamic allows you to design a self-closing door without the need of a floor-mounted or overhead closing device. This gives you the advantage of being able to install an 'all-glass' door in an existing opening without the need for extensive retrofitting of hardware into the floor or overhead.
Properly mounted, two Oil Dynamic Hinges will support a 5/16", 3/8" or 1/2" (8, 10 or 12 mm) thick glass door up to 39" (1 m) in width and weighing up to 220 lbs. (100 kg). (Do not use more than two hinges.) A control valve lets you adjust the hinge to the desired closing speed. And Oil Dynamic is ambidextrous, with positive stops at 0 and 90 degrees, giving you even more design freedom.
The Oil Dynamic Hinge features an aluminum body in distinct configurations for Wall Mount and Glass-to-Glass applications. Oil Dynamic has been subject to strict testing (over 1 million cycles), assuring long lasting service.
